Netanyahu Confronts Israel's Critics During Speech at the UN General Assembly
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used his speech at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly to defend the country's military actions, criticize governments opposed to Israeli policy, and denounce what he called antisemitism and disinformation against Israel.

During the speech, Netanyahu displayed a Starlink satellite internet communication terminal and said the equipment could help Iranian citizens access information beyond the restrictions imposed by the Iranian government.
The prime minister said he would leave the equipment with the General Assembly presidency so it could be delivered to the Iranian delegation. Netanyahu presented the initiative as a symbolic gesture of support for freedom of information in Iran.
After the speech, Israel's ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, attempted to hand the terminal to an Iranian diplomat, but the representative refused to accept it, according to images and reports released afterward.
Prediction of Change in Iran
Netanyahu also leveled harsh criticism at the Iranian government. According to him, the regime in Tehran faces growing internal opposition and could be overthrown by the Iranian people themselves.
The prime minister said he believes Iranians will achieve freedom and that the country's current political system could come to an end. These statements represent Netanyahu's political position on Iran's future, not an independent forecast of events in the country.
